Mount Whitestone is a small, quiet place in the countryside of Queensland, Australia. It's located in the Lockyer Valley Region. In 2021, about 129 people lived here. It's known for its beautiful natural surroundings and a strong community spirit.

Exploring Mount Whitestone's Landscape
Mount Whitestone is a place with interesting hills and valleys. In the south, some areas rise to about 690 meters (2,260 feet) above sea level. The main Mount Whitestone peak is in the middle of the area and reaches 530 meters (1,740 feet) high.
Two creeks, Paradise Creek and Ma Ma Creek, meet north of the peak. These creeks flow through valleys on both sides of Mount Whitestone. The main road, called Gatton–Clifton Road (State Route 80), goes right through the area. You can also find the Tenthill Conservation Park in the eastern part of Mount Whitestone.

Mount Whitestone has a rich history, especially when it comes to its schools and community buildings.
Early Schools and Learning
The first school here was Mount Whitestone Provisional School. It opened a long time ago, on March 22, 1886. Later, on January 1, 1909, it became a State School, which meant it was a permanent public school.
Another school, Spring Park Provisional School, opened in 1918. It also became a State School around 1927 but closed just a year later in 1928.
The Community Church
The Mount Whitestone Church of Christ has been an important part of the community for a long time. It officially opened its doors on August 16, 1899.
