Niomi Arleen McLean-Daley (born on April 26, 1981), known as Ms. Dynamite, is a talented British singer and rapper. She has won many important music awards. These include the Mercury Prize, two Brit Awards, and three MOBO Awards.

Early Life and Family
Niomi Arleen McLean-Daley was born in Crawley, West Sussex. She grew up in Kentish Town, North London. Her father is Jamaican, and her mother is Scottish. Ms. Dynamite also has a younger brother, Akala, who is also a well-known rapper.
Music Career Highlights
Starting Out in Music (2001–2004)
Ms. Dynamite first became known for her singing on an underground track called "Booo!". This song was often played on local radio stations in London. A music producer named Richard Forbes, also known as "DJ Sticky," discovered her. She then signed with Polydor Records.
In 2002, she released her first album, A Little Deeper. This album included popular songs like "It Takes More" and "Dy-Na-Mi-Tee". The album was also released in the United States in 2003. In 2002, Ms. Dynamite won the famous Mercury Prize for A Little Deeper. She gave the £20,000 prize money to a children's charity called the NSPCC.
Ms. Dynamite also performed at the closing ceremony of the 2002 Commonwealth Games. In 2005, she performed at the Live 8 concert in London's Hyde Park. She sang "Redemption Song" by Bob Marley with her brother, Akala.
New Music and Collaborations (2005–Present)
After taking some time off to have her son, Shavaar, Ms. Dynamite released her second album. It was called Judgement Days and came out in 2005. This album featured songs with more social messages. The first single was a double release, "Judgement Day"/"Father". "Judgement Day" reached number 25 on the UK Singles Chart.
After a break from making music, Ms. Dynamite hosted a show on BBC Radio 1Xtra. She also appeared on the TV show Hell's Kitchen in 2009. She finished in fourth place on the show.
Since then, she has worked with many other artists. She was featured on Katy B's song "Lights On" in 2010. This song reached number 4 on the UK Singles Chart. She also sang on the Magnetic Man track "Fire." In 2011, she released a single called "Neva Soft". She has also collaborated with DJ Fresh, David Guetta, and Showtek. In 2020, Ms. Dynamite appeared on a song called "Again" by CLIPZ.
