Natalia "Nathy" Peluso (born 12 January 1995) is a talented singer and songwriter. She has roots in Argentina, Spain, and Italy. Nathy was born in Argentina and grew up in Alicante, Spain.
From a young age, Nathy loved performing. As a teenager, she sang cover songs in bars in Torrevieja. After finishing her studies at King Juan Carlos University, she moved to Barcelona. There, she started her music career. Her first releases, Esmeralda (2017) and La Sandunguera (2018), were made independently.
Nathy slowly became well-known in Spain. After signing with Sony Music, she created her hit album Calambre (2020). This album won her a Latin Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 2021. Her second studio album, Grasa, came out in 2024.
Nathy Peluso is known for her exciting stage shows. She mixes hip hop, soul, and world music in her songs. Her fame grew even more after she worked with Bizarrap on "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 36" (2020). This song became very popular in Latin America. She has also sung with famous artists like Christina Aguilera, Karol G, and C. Tangana. Her duet "Ateo" with C. Tangana even reached number one on the Spanish music charts.

Early Life and Education
Nathy Peluso was born in 1995 in Luján, Argentina. She grew up in the Saavedra area of Buenos Aires. As a child, she listened to many different artists. These included Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, João Gilberto, and Atahualpa Yupanqui. Her family also has Italian roots.
In 2004, when Nathy was nine, her family moved to Spain. They first lived in Alicante. When she was 16, she started performing in hotels and restaurants in Torrevieja. She mostly sang classic songs by artists like Frank Sinatra and Nina Simone. As a teenager, she also started uploading her songs to YouTube.
Later, she moved to Murcia and began studying Audiovisual Communication at a local university. She then moved to Madrid to study Fine Arts at King Juan Carlos University. There, she focused on teaching visual arts and dance. While studying, she worked at places like VIPS and Domino's Pizza. After her studies, she moved to Barcelona, where she lives now.
Music Career
Early Music and First Albums (2017–2018)
In October 2017, Nathy Peluso released her first collection of songs, called Esmeralda. It had seven tracks, including the song "Corashe". This song caught the attention of many music critics.
In April 2018, she released another collection of songs, La Sandunguera. This album included the popular songs "La Sandunguera" and "Estoy Triste". After this, she went on a big tour with her band, Big Menu. They performed over a hundred concerts in Spain, other parts of Europe, and Latin America. She was nominated for awards for "La Sandunguera". She also won the Discovery Artist award at a music conference in New York City.
In 2019, Nathy released her first book, "Deja Que te Combata". It was a collection of her thoughts and stories. She also continued to release new music, like "Natikillah". She performed at big festivals like Primavera Sound. Nathy also worked with Samsung for their "Somos Smart Girl" campaign.
Calambre and Growing Fame (2019–2023)
In December 2019, Nathy Peluso signed a music deal with Sony Music Spain. Her first song with them was "Copa Glasé".
In 2020, more people started to notice her. A contestant on the TV show Operación Triunfo sang "La Sandunguera". After that, Nathy was invited to perform on the show for International Women's Day. She sang her new song "Business Woman," which is seen as a song about women's strength.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nathy released a song with artist Rels B called "No Se Perdona". It became very popular. Another song, "Buenos Aires," came out soon after. Critics loved it, and it was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Alternative Song. She was also nominated for Best New Artist.
In September 2020, Nathy announced her first full album, Calambre. It was released on October 2. Before the album came out, her performance of "Sana Sana" on the German music platform Colors went viral online. Calambre was a big success, reaching number five on the Spanish album charts. The album was nominated for Album of the Year at the Premios Gardel (like the Grammys in Argentina). Its song "Buenos Aires" was also nominated for Record of the Year. In November, she worked with Argentine producer Bizarrap on "Bzrp Music Sessions Vol. 36". This song became very popular because of its lyrics and music. It reached the top 5 in Argentina and was certified platinum in Spain.
In 2021, the music video for her song "Delito" was praised by critics. The song became a top 30 hit in Argentina and Spain. In March, she performed "La Violetera" at the 35th Goya Awards and received great reviews. That same month, she worked with Karol G on "Gato Malo". In May, Nathy started her first big tour in Spain, performing 28 concerts. In July, she released her solo single "Mafiosa". In September, she covered "La Despedida" by Daddy Yankee for Spotify Singles. The next month, she worked with C. Tangana on "Ateo", which became her first number one song in Spain. She was also featured on Christina Aguilera's song "Pa Mis Muchachas" with Becky G and Nicki Nicole. In December, Nathy sang her version of Camilo Sesto's "Vivir Así es Morir de Amor," which was very successful.
In February 2022, Nathy Peluso released "Emergencia" with PlayStation. This song was inspired by the game Horizon Forbidden West. In the music video, Nathy dressed like Aloy, the main character of the game.
New Album: Grasa (2024–Present)
In early May 2024, Nathy Peluso announced her second studio album, Grasa. She shared the news on her social media. She also released a video showing the album title and release date. The next week, she shared the list of songs and the album cover on her Instagram.
