Natalia Beatriz Dora "Nathy" Peluso (born 12 January 1995) is an Argentine and Spanish singer and songwriter. She was born in Argentina but grew up in Alicante, Spain. From a young age, Nathy loved the performing arts. As a teenager, she sang cover songs at music bars.
After college, Peluso moved to Barcelona to start her music career. She released her first projects, Esmeralda (2017) and La Sandunguera (2018), on her own. These helped her become known in Spain. She later signed with Sony Music and released her album Calambre (2020). This album won a Latin Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album. Her second album, Grasa, came out in 2024.
Nathy is known for her exciting and dramatic stage performances. She mixes different music styles like hip-hop, soul, and world music. Her fame grew after she worked with the producer Bizarrap on the song "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 36". The song was a big hit in Latin America. She has also worked with famous artists like Christina Aguilera, Karol G, and C. Tangana.
Peluso has won many awards for her music, including six Premios Gardel and five Latin Grammy Awards.

Early Life
Nathy Peluso was born on January 12, 1995, in Luján, a city near Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her father, Hernán, was a psychologist, and her mother, Laura, was an English teacher. She has a younger sister, Sofía, who is also a rapper known as Sofía Gabanna.
When she was a child, Nathy listened to many different kinds of music. She enjoyed artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, and Latin American musicians like João Gilberto and Atahualpa Yupanqui.
In 2004, when Nathy was nine, her family moved to Spain because of money problems in Argentina. They settled in Alicante. As a child, she did rhythmic gymnastics for nine years. At 16, she started singing in hotels and restaurants, performing songs by classic artists like Frank Sinatra and Nina Simone.
She later moved to Madrid to study art at King Juan Carlos University, where she focused on dance. To support herself, she worked as a waitress. After her studies, she moved to Barcelona, where she lives now. In Barcelona, she started writing poetry and met music producers who introduced her to hip-hop.
Career
2017–2018: First Music Releases
In 2017, Nathy Peluso released her first collection of songs, a mixtape called Esmeralda. It included the single "Corashe," which got the attention of music magazines in Spain.
In 2018, she released a shorter album called an EP, titled La Sandunguera. After its release, she went on a tour with her band, Big Menu. They performed over 100 concerts across Spain and other parts of Europe and Latin America. She played at big festivals like BBK Live and Sónar. For her song "La Sandunguera," she was nominated for several independent music awards.
In 2019, she published a book called Deja Que te Combata, which was a collection of her thoughts and ideas. She also released new songs like "Natikillah" and performed at more festivals, including Primavera Sound.
2019–2023: Breakthrough with Calambre
In late 2019, Peluso signed a contract with the major record label Sony Music Spain. Her first song with Sony was "Copa Glasé," a Christmas song with a big band jazz sound.
In 2020, more people learned about Nathy after a contestant on the TV show Operación Triunfo sang her song "La Sandunguera." Nathy was then invited to the show to perform her new single "Business Woman." During the COVID-19 pandemic, she released the song "No Se Perdona" with the artist Rels B, which became very popular.
Her next single, "Buenos Aires," was also a success. It earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Song. She was also nominated for Best New Artist at both the Latin Grammy Awards and the Premios Gardel, which are like the Argentine Grammy Awards.
In September 2020, she announced her first full album, Calambre. Before the album came out, she performed her song "Sana Sana" on the German music show Colors. The video of her performance went viral online, getting millions of views. Calambre was a success, reaching number five on the Spanish album chart.
In November 2020, she worked with producer Bizarrap on "Bzrp Music Sessions Vol. 36." The song became a huge hit, especially on social media, and reached the top 5 in Argentina.
In 2021, she released a music video for her song "Delito," which was also a hit in Argentina and Spain. She performed at the Goya Awards, Spain's main film awards. She also worked with Karol G on the song "Gato Malo" and with C. Tangana on "Ateo", which became her first number-one single in Spain. Later that year, she was featured on Christina Aguilera's song "Pa Mis Muchachas" with Becky G and Nicki Nicole.
In 2022, Peluso released the song "Emergencia" in partnership with PlayStation. The song and music video were inspired by the video game Horizon Forbidden West.
2024–present: Grasa and World Tour
In May 2024, Peluso released her second album, Grasa. She announced it with a video showing a large billboard with the album's title and release date.
To support the album, she announced the GRASA world tour in June 2024. The tour included her first shows in the United States, with stops in cities like Miami and New York. She also performed in Europe and South America.
In March 2025, Peluso released the single "Erotika." Two months later, in May 2025, she released a song called "Perfecto Final" with the band Conociendo Rusia.

Nathy Peluso's music is a mix of many styles. It is often described as Latin pop, hip-hop, and neo soul. She is known for blending different sounds to create something new and unique.
Personal Life
