Orchid is a small town in Indian River County, Florida, United States. It is part of the larger Sebastian–Vero Beach area. In 2020, about 516 people lived here, which was more than the 415 people counted in 2010.
Most of Orchid is a private community called Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club. Near the beach, there is a condominium complex. The rest of the town is made up of islands where no one lives, such as Plug Island, Preachers Island, and Horseshoe Island. Just north of Horseshoe Island is Pelican Island, which was the very first National Wildlife Refuge in the United States. A historic, unpaved road called the Jungle Trail runs along most of the town's border.
