Where is Parkwood Located?
Parkwood is situated about 8.7 kilometres (or 5.4 miles) north-west of Southport by road. It's surrounded by Napper Road to the north, Olsen Avenue to the east, and Smith Street to the south and west.
Parkwood's Natural Features
In the northern part of Parkwood, there's a hill that reaches about 100 metres (328 feet) high. This area is part of the Brushwood Ridge Reserve, which is a nice spot to explore nature. Parkwood is known for its leafy streets and beautiful gardens. Most of the homes here are owned by the people who live in them.

Parkwood got its official name and boundaries on 16 September 1989. Before that, this area was known by a different name: Ernest.
