Percujove facts for kids
Percujove is a special youth percussion orchestra. It started in June 2003. Today, about 25 young musicians are part of it. These musicians are students from the José Iturbi Conservatorium in Valencia, Spain. The group's leader is Salvador Pelejero, who also teaches at the Conservatorium.
Percujove might be the only youth percussion orchestra of its kind in Europe.

What is Percujove?
Percujove is a group of young people who play percussion instruments. These are instruments you hit, shake, or scrape to make sounds. Think of drums, xylophones, and cymbals! An orchestra is a large group of musicians who play together.
Amazing Performances Across Europe

Percujove has performed in many places all over Europe. They have played concerts in cities like Montpellier and Lyon in France. They have also visited Copenhagen in Denmark and Brussels in Belgium.
They even performed at important places like the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Another special concert was at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. Percujove has shared their music in Germany, Italy, Norway, Slovenia, Slovakia, Poland, and their home country, Spain.

Music Styles They Play
The Percujove orchestra plays many different kinds of music. They adapt these songs to fit their percussion instruments. You might hear them play baroque music, which is an old style of classical music.
They also perform vals (waltzes), foxtrot, and blues. Plus, they play Spanish music like zarzuela and pasodoble. They also enjoy playing other fun rhythms from Latin America.
