Phil Morris is an American actor born on April 4, 1959. He is well-known for his roles in many movies and TV shows. You might recognize him as Jackie Chiles in the comedy show Seinfeld. He also played Martian Manhunter in Smallville and Silas Stone in Doom Patrol. As a voice actor, he is famous for being the voice of Dr. Sweet in Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Doc Saturday in The Secret Saturdays.

Early Life and Family Connections
Phil Morris grew up in a family of actors. His father was Greg Morris, a famous actor who starred in the TV series Mission: Impossible from 1966 to 1973. Phil's paternal grandfather was Francis Williams, a talented jazz trumpeter. Phil also has a sister, Iona Morris, who is an actress too.
Growing up, Phil met many successful actors through his father. These included Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby, who became role models for him. His father was also close friends with Peter Graves, the main actor in Mission: Impossible. Phil looked up to Peter Graves as an acting mentor. Their friendship lasted until Peter Graves passed away in 2010.

Phil Morris started acting when he was very young. His first role was in 1966 on an episode of Star Trek called "Miri". This show was filmed at the same studio where his father worked on Mission: Impossible. Later, he appeared in the movie Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. He also guest-starred in other Star Trek shows like Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager.
In the mid-1980s, Phil played a law student named Tyrone Jackson in the TV show The Young and the Restless. In the 1990s, he became very popular for playing Jackie Chiles on the comedy show Seinfeld. This character was a funny lawyer inspired by a real-life famous attorney. Phil enjoyed playing Jackie Chiles, especially in an episode where the character sued a tobacco company. This was special to him because his name, Phil Morris, is the same as a well-known tobacco brand.
Phil also starred in a TV remake of Mission: Impossible. He played Grant Collier, a tech expert. Grant was the son of Barney Collier, a character from the original series played by Phil's real-life father, Greg Morris.
