Rainbow Fish is a fun animated TV show for kids that was made in 1999. It's a Canadian-German production. The show is based on the famous book The Rainbow Fish. However, the TV series tells new stories instead of following the book's plot exactly. It uses the same main character and underwater world, but adds new characters and makes others more detailed for the show.
In the series, the fish live in a place called Neptune Bay, named after Neptune, the Roman god of the sea. The young fish go to school, which is cleverly named "The School of Fish." There's even a shipwreck called "Shipwreck Park" that looks a bit like the famous wreck of the RMS Titanic. The show was created by Decode Entertainment, EM.TV, and Sony Wonder. A total of 26 episodes were produced for the series.
