Ralls is a city in Crosby County, Texas, United States. It was named after John Robinson Ralls. He helped plan the town in July 1911 with W.E. McLaughlin. In 2020, about 1,665 people lived there. This was a bit less than the 1,944 people in 2010. Ralls is surrounded by farms that grow a lot of cotton and grains. They also grow smaller amounts of soybeans, sunflowers, and vegetables.

Geography of Ralls

Ralls is a farming community located on flat land called the Llano Estacado. It sits between Lorenzo to the west and Crosbyton to the east. North of Ralls is a small community called Cone. Further north is a narrow part of Blanco Canyon. People believe the Spanish explorer Vazquez and his army camped there in 1541.

South of Ralls is the Caprock Escarpment. This is a big change in the land where the Llano Estacado ends. Rivers like the Salt Fork and Double Mountain Fork have carved out the land here.

The United States Census Bureau says Ralls covers about 3.5 square kilometers (1.35 square miles). All of this area is land.
