The River Cole is a river in the West Midlands, England. It flows for about 40 kilometers (25 miles). This river is a tributary, which means it flows into another, larger river. The River Cole joins the River Blythe near a town called Coleshill.
The River's Journey
The River Cole starts in two places: Wythall and Kings Norton. These areas are south of the big city of Birmingham. From there, the river flows mostly north-west.
Through Cities and Towns
As it travels, the River Cole passes through the eastern part of Birmingham. It also flows into the county of Warwickshire. Some of the towns and cities it goes through include Wythall, Birmingham, Shirley, Chelmsley Wood, and Coleshill.
From River to Sea
The journey of the River Cole doesn't end when it meets the River Blythe. The River Blythe then flows into the River Tame. The River Tame then joins the River Trent. Finally, the River Trent carries all this water to the North Sea. It reaches the sea through a large area called the Humber Estuary.
