Robert Earnest Rozier Jr. (born July 28, 1955) is a former professional defensive end in gridiron football. He was born in Alaska and grew up in California.
Rozier was a talented athlete in high school and college. He played professional football for a short time. Later, he became involved with a religious group that faced serious legal issues. Robert Rozier cooperated with authorities and received a prison sentence. After his release, he entered a program to protect witnesses. In 1999, he faced new legal problems related to financial issues, which led to another prison sentence in 2001.

Robert Earnest Rozier Jr. was born on July 28, 1955, in Anchorage, Alaska. His father was in the United States Air Force, so Robert grew up in California.
School and College Years
Robert went to Cordova High School in Rancho Cordova, California. He was a good athlete but did not earn his high school diploma. Later, he attended Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen, Washington. He also studied at the University of California, Berkeley, where he focused on African-American studies. However, he did not graduate from either college.
Life in 1999
By 1999, Robert Rozier was living in Cameron Park, California. He owned a business that cleaned and detailed cars in Sacramento. He also worked in web design and had two children.

High School and College Athletics
At Cordova High, Robert played American football as a defensive end. He was recognized as an "all-league, all-conference, all-Northern California" player. He was also good at track and field. He could high jump 6 feet 7 inches and vertical jump 10 feet. He could also run the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds and bench press 375 pounds.
Because he did not have his high school diploma, he could not play college football right away. So, he enrolled at Grays Harbor College and played football there from 1975 to 1976. After that, University of California, Berkeley's football coach, Mike White, recruited him. At California, his team captain, Ralph DeLoach, called Rozier "the best athlete on the team." He played for California from 1977 to 1978.
Professional Football Career
Robert "Bob" Rozier was 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighed 240 pounds. The St. Louis Cardinals drafted him in the ninth round of the 1979 NFL draft. He was the 228th player chosen overall.
As a defensive end, Rozier played six games for the Cardinals in 1979. He wore number 75. His professional sports career in the United States faced challenges.
Rozier then played briefly in the Canadian Football League (CFL). In the 1979 CFL season, he played defensive end for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as number 53. In the 1980 season, he played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. In 1981, he returned to the U.S. and signed with the Oakland Raiders for only two weeks.
