Robert Earnest Rozier Jr. (born July 28, 1955) is an American former professional defensive end in gridiron football. He was born in Alaska and grew up in California.
Rozier was a talented athlete in high school and college. He played professional football for a short time. Later in his life, he faced serious legal issues and was imprisoned.

Robert Earnest Rozier Jr. was born on July 28, 1955, in Anchorage, Alaska. His father was in the United States Air Force, so Robert moved around as a child. He spent most of his childhood growing up in California.
Education and Family Life
Robert went to Cordova High School in Rancho Cordova, California. He was a good athlete but struggled with his grades. He did not earn his high school diploma.
Later, he attended Grays Harbor College in Washington. He also studied at the University of California, Berkeley. He did not graduate from either college. By 1999, Rozier was living in California. He owned a car cleaning business and worked in web design. He also raised two children.
Athletic Career
Robert Rozier was a very gifted athlete. He played American football and was known for his speed and strength.
School Sports
At Cordova High, Rozier was an amazing athlete. He played American football as a defensive end. He earned many awards, including "all-league" and "all-Northern California."
He was also good at track and field. He could high jump 6 feet 7 inches and vertical jump 10 feet. He could run the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds. He was also strong, able to bench press 375 pounds.
Because he did not have his high school diploma, he could not play college football right away. He enrolled at Grays Harbor College and played football there from 1975 to 1976. After that, the football coach at the University of California, Berkeley recruited him. He played for California from 1977 to 1978. His team captain called him "the best athlete on the team."
Professional Football
Robert "Bob" Rozier was 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighed 240 pounds. The St. Louis Cardinals picked him in the ninth round of the 1979 NFL draft. He was the 228th player chosen overall.
As a defensive end, Rozier played six games for the Cardinals in 1979. He wore number 75. He did not start any of those games.
After playing in the NFL, Rozier moved to the Canadian Football League (CFL). In 1979, he played defensive end for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He wore number 53. In the 1980 season, he played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. In 1981, he returned to the United States. He signed with the Oakland Raiders for a short time, playing for only two weeks.
Later Life and Legal Issues
In the 1980s, Robert Rozier became involved with a religious group called the Nation of Yahweh. By 1986, he was involved in serious legal problems. He later cooperated with authorities against the group and its leader.
Rozier was sentenced to 22 years in prison. He was released after ten years and entered a special program to protect witnesses. However, he faced more legal trouble in 1999 for financial issues. In 2001, he was sentenced to a long prison term under California's "three-strikes law." He is currently in prison at Mule Creek State Prison.
