Romairon used to be a small town, or 'municipality,' in Switzerland. It was located in the Jura-Nord Vaudois area, which is part of the Vaud canton.
On July 1, 2011, Romairon joined with three other towns – Fontanezier, Vaugondry, and Villars-Burquin – to form a new, larger town called Tévenon.

History of Romairon
Romairon was first mentioned in official records way back in 1403. At that time, its name was written as Romeyron.
The town was part of the Grandson District until August 31, 2006. After that, Romairon became part of the newer Jura-Nord Vaudois district.
Geography and Location
Romairon covers an area of about 4.89 square kilometers (about 1.89 square miles). Most of this land is covered by forests or used for farming.

The town is located in the mountains. It sits between two peaks called Chasseron and Mont Aubert. It is also right on the border with the Val-de-Travers region.

The official coat of arms for Romairon has a special design. It shows a green stripe across a gold background. On the green stripe, there is a brown May-beetle.
