Rosamund Pike, born in 1979, is a talented English actress and producer. She has won many awards, including a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She was also nominated for an Academy Award and two BAFTA Awards.
Rosamund studied English literature at Wadham College, Oxford. Before becoming a film star, she acted in plays like Romeo and Juliet at the National Youth Theatre. Early Life and Education
Rosamund Pike was born in 1979 in Hammersmith, London. She is the only child of opera singers Julian Pike and Caroline Friend. She went to Badminton School in Bristol.
While performing as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet at the National Youth Theatre, an agent noticed her. This helped her start her acting career. Even though she was turned down by every drama school she applied to, she got a place to study English literature at Wadham College, Oxford. She graduated in 2001 with a good degree. She took a year off during her studies to act in plays by famous writers like David Hare, Arthur Miller, and William Shakespeare.

While at Oxford, Rosamund acted in and directed several plays. She also appeared in British TV shows like A Rather English Marriage (1998), Wives and Daughters (1999), and Love in a Cold Climate (2001). She also played Sarah Beaumont in an episode of Foyle's War.
After graduating, she was offered a role as a Bond girl and MI6 agent in Die Another Day. She was the first Bond girl to have studied at Oxford. In 2004, she played Elizabeth Malet in The Libertine, starring alongside Johnny Depp. This role won her the BIFA Award for Best Supporting Actress. That same year, she played Rose in Promised Land and scientist Samantha Grimm in Doom, based on the video game.

Gone Girl and Recent Success
In 2014, Rosamund starred in the psychological thriller Gone Girl, directed by David Fincher. She played Amy Dunne, a woman who disappears on her fifth wedding anniversary. David Fincher chose her because he wanted an actress who wasn't widely known in a main role yet, and he found her mysterious. The film was a huge success, making over $356 million worldwide. It premiered at the 52nd New York Film Festival, where both the film and Rosamund's acting received widespread praise.

Personal Life
Relationships and Family
While at Oxford, Rosamund was in a relationship with Simon Woods for two years. They later played siblings Jane Bennet and Charles Bingley in Pride & Prejudice. She was then engaged to director Joe Wright, but they ended their engagement in 2008.
Since December 2009, Rosamund has been in a relationship with businessman Robie Uniacke. They have two sons who can speak Mandarin. They live in Prague. In 2015, when they visited China, Rosamund shared that Robie had given her a Chinese name, Pei Chunhua (裴淳华). She mentioned that they admire Chinese culture and would like the media to use this name for her.
Activism and Interests
In 2015, Rosamund signed an open letter from the ONE Campaign. This letter asked leaders like Angela Merkel and Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma to focus on women's issues when setting goals for global development.
In 2021, Rosamund became an investor and creative director for Lumenate, a meditation app. Also in 2021, she became the first ambassador for Mines Advisory Group, an organization that helps people affected by landmines.
In a 2023 interview, Rosamund shared her thoughts on the "wellness industry." She believes that people are being tricked into thinking they need to be "well" beyond just being healthy, and she finds this idea "dangerous."
