How Salad and Go Started
Salad and Go began in 2013. Tony and Roushan Christofellis started it in Gilbert, Arizona. They asked Chef Daniel Patino to help create the menu. Chef Patino still works as an executive chef for the company.
In March 2022, Charlie Morrison became the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Since he joined, Salad and Go has grown a lot. They opened many new places in big cities. These include the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Houston, Las Vegas, and Oklahoma City. They also kept opening stores in Arizona.
By the end of 2023, Salad and Go had 135 stores open. In January 2024, the CEO said they planned to open one new restaurant every week. He also talked about having thousands of locations in the future.
How Salad and Go Works
Salad and Go manages its own operations and delivery. They get ingredients directly from farmers and suppliers. This means they try to buy local food when they can.
The company has two food preparation places. One is in Arizona and one is in Texas. These places get fresh produce from farms. Then, they prepare the food and send it to the stores.
An average Salad and Go store is about 1,000 square feet. This smaller size helps them build stores quickly. It also helps keep costs low. These restaurants do not have freezers, boilers, or fryers. This makes it easier to open new locations.
Every Salad and Go store has a drive-thru lane. They also have a window for picking up orders. You can order at the drive-thru, online, or using their mobile app. The restaurants do not have places for people to sit and eat inside.
What's on the Menu
Salad and Go uses fresh, natural ingredients. Their menu has eight different salads. You can choose from different dressings made by the company. You can also add chicken, steak, or tofu to your salad.
Every salad can also be made into a wrap. The menu also has soups. There are five different breakfast burrito options. You can also order these as bowls.
