She continued her winning streak at the 2015 European Short Course Swimming Championships, earning multiple gold and silver medals. She was named "Swimmer of the Year in Europe" and received the prestigious Svenska Dagbladet Gold Medal.

In May 2016, at the 2016 European Aquatics Championships, Sarah won three more gold medals.

The 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, were historic for Sarah. She won the gold medal in the 100-meter butterfly, setting a new world record!
