Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, also known as Sea–Tac Airport or just Sea–Tac, is a very busy airport in SeaTac, Washington. It serves the city of Seattle and the surrounding area. The airport is about 13 miles (21 km) south of downtown Seattle.
Sea–Tac is the largest airport in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It is a major hub for Alaska Airlines and Delta Air Lines. The airport has three runways and three main buildings called terminals.

Sea–Tac Airport is a public airport owned and operated by the Port of Seattle. It helps millions of people travel every year. The airport also handles a lot of cargo, which means goods and packages are flown in and out.
How Big is Sea–Tac?
The airport sits at an elevation of 433 feet (132 meters) above sea level. In 2019, over 51 million passengers used Sea–Tac. This shows how important it is for travel in the region. There were also more than 450,000 aircraft movements, which means planes taking off or landing.
Runways at Sea–Tac
Sea–Tac Airport has three concrete runways. These long, flat surfaces are where planes speed up to take off or slow down after landing.
