Spirit Lake is a city located in Kootenai County, Idaho. It is part of the larger Coeur d'Alene area. In 2010, about 1,945 people lived there. This was an increase from 1,376 people in 2000.

A Look Back: Spirit Lake's History
The city of Spirit Lake got its name from a nearby body of water, also called Spirit Lake. A post office opened in the area in 1903. This was an important step in the community's growth.
