Sugar Grove is a small village located in Kane County, Illinois, United States. In 2020, about 9,278 people lived there. It's a growing community on the western edge of the Chicago metropolitan area.

Sugar Grove is in the southern part of Kane County. It is next to the city of Aurora on its east side. To the west, you'll find the village of Big Rock.
The village also almost completely surrounds a community called Prestbury. The city of Yorkville is located to the south.

Sugar Grove is about 46 miles (74 km) east of Downtown Chicago. It is also about 67 miles (108 km) northwest of Rockford.

The Aurora Municipal Airport is on the northwest side of town. It can handle small jets. The BNSF Railway's main train line, which goes from Chicago to Seattle, runs through the village.

The Virgil Gilman Trail is a paved path for bicycles. It connects Aurora to the east with Waubonsee Community College to the north.

Students in Sugar Grove attend schools in two different districts. These are Kaneland Community Unit School District #302 or West Aurora School District #129.
Elementary and Middle Schools
In Kaneland, younger students (grades K-5) go to Kaneland John Shields Elementary School in Sugar Grove. They might also attend Kaneland McDole Elementary School in Montgomery. For grades 6–8, students go to Kaneland Harter Middle School in Sugar Grove.
High School and College
Older students (grades 9-12) attend Kaneland High School in Maple Park.
