Tajon Trevor Buchanan (born February 8, 1999) is a Canadian professional soccer player. He plays for the Serie A club Inter Milan and the Canada national team. Tajon is known for his amazing speed and great skills with the ball. He usually plays as a wide midfielder, but he can also play as a full-back or a winger.

Tajon Buchanan's Soccer Journey
Starting Out in Canada
Tajon Buchanan was born and grew up in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. He started playing soccer when he was eight years old with Brampton Youth. When he was 15, he moved to Colorado in the United States. There, he joined a special soccer training program called the USSDA academy at Real Colorado.
After high school, Tajon played college soccer for Syracuse University from 2017 to 2018. He played 33 games, scored 12 goals, and helped with 6 assists. He left college early to join Major League Soccer, which is the top soccer league in the United States and Canada. Before joining MLS, he also played for a team called Sigma FC in Canada in 2018.
Playing for New England Revolution
On January 11, 2019, the New England Revolution team picked Tajon in the MLS SuperDraft. This is like a draft where teams choose new players. He played his first professional game on March 9, 2019. In 2020, he scored his first goal in the MLS Cup playoffs, helping his team win 2–0.
In 2021, Tajon scored the first goal ever at a new stadium called Lower.com Field. His excellent playing that year earned him a spot on the 2021 MLS All-Star Game team. This team is made up of the best players in the league.
Moving to Europe: Club Brugge
In August 2021, Tajon signed a contract with Club Brugge, a top team in Belgium. The team paid a lot of money for him, which was a record for the New England Revolution. He was loaned back to the Revolution for the rest of the 2021 MLS season.
Tajon made his first appearance for Club Brugge on January 15, 2022. He scored his first goal for the team on April 24, 2022.
Joining Inter Milan
On January 5, 2024, Tajon Buchanan joined Inter Milan, a famous club in Italy. He signed a four-and-a-half-year deal. He became the first Canadian player ever to play in Serie A, which is Italy's top soccer league.
Tajon played his first game for Inter Milan on February 16, 2024. On May 10, 2024, he scored his first goal for Inter Milan in a big 5–0 win.
Playing for Canada
Youth National Team
Tajon also played for the Canadian U-23 team. In 2021, he scored two goals in one game against El Salvador. This helped Canada win 2–0. Because of his great play, he was named the 2020 Canada Soccer Youth International Player of the Year.
Senior National Team
In 2021, Tajon was invited to play for the Canada senior national team. He made his first appearance for the senior team in June 2021. He helped set up two goals in a big 7–0 win.
He was also part of the team for the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup. He scored his first goal for the senior team against Mexico in the semi-finals. After the tournament, he won the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup Best Young Player Award. This award goes to the best young player in the competition.
In November 2022, Tajon was chosen to play for Canada in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. In a game against Croatia, he sent a perfect pass that led to Canada's first-ever goal in a men's World Cup!
In June 2023, Tajon played for Canada in the 2023 CONCACAF Nations League Finals. He was also named to the Canadian team for the 2024 Copa América. Sadly, he broke his leg while training during the tournament and needed surgery.
