Tajon Trevor Buchanan (born February 8, 1999) is a Canadian professional soccer player. He plays for Serie A club Inter Milan in Italy. He also plays for the Canada national team. Tajon is known for his amazing speed and technical skills. He usually plays as a wide midfielder. He can also play as a full-back or a winger.

Club Career Highlights
Starting Out in Soccer
Tajon Buchanan was born and grew up in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. His family comes from Jamaica. He started playing soccer with Brampton Youth when he was eight years old. In 2014, he won the IMG Cup with the Mississauga Falcons team. When he was 15, he moved to Colorado with his best friend and his former coach. There, he joined the Real Colorado academy.
Tajon played college soccer for Syracuse University from 2017 to 2018. He played in 33 games, scoring 12 goals and helping with six assists. After two years, he left college early to join Major League Soccer (MLS). In 2018, he also played for League1 Ontario team Sigma FC, scoring two goals in seven games.
Playing for New England Revolution
On January 11, 2019, the New England Revolution picked Tajon as the ninth overall player in the MLS SuperDraft. He played his first professional game on March 9, 2019. He scored his first goal in the MLS Cup playoffs on November 24, 2020. This goal helped his team win 2–0 against the Philadelphia Union.
On July 3, 2021, Tajon scored the first goal ever at the new Lower.com Field stadium. This happened during a 2–2 draw against Columbus Crew. Because of his great playing in the 2021 season, he was chosen for the 2021 MLS All-Star Game.
Moving to Club Brugge
In August 2021, Tajon signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Belgian First Division A champions Club Brugge. He was loaned back to New England Revolution for the rest of the 2021 MLS season. The money Club Brugge paid for him was a record for the Revolution. He played his first game for Brugge on January 15, 2022. Tajon scored his first goal for Brugge on April 24 against Royal Antwerp.
Joining Inter Milan
On January 5, 2024, Tajon officially joined Serie A club Inter Milan in Italy. He signed a four-and-a-half-year deal. He became the first Canadian player ever to play in Italy's Serie A league. Tajon made his debut for Inter Milan on February 16, 2024. On May 10, 2024, he scored his first goal for Inter Milan. This made him the first Canadian to score in Serie A.
Loan to Villarreal
On February 1, 2025, Tajon Buchanan joined Villarreal in Spain on a loan. This loan included an option for Villarreal to buy him later.
International Career
Playing for Canada's Youth Team
Tajon was chosen for the Canadian U-23 team in February 2020. A year later, he was part of the final team for the Olympic Qualifying Championship. In Canada's first game, Tajon scored two goals in a 2–0 win against El Salvador. He was named the 2020 Canada Soccer Youth International Player of the Year.
Playing for Canada's Senior Team
Tajon was invited to the Canada senior national team camp in January 2021. He made his debut for the senior team in June 2021 against Aruba. He helped set up two goals in a big 7–0 victory. He was then called up for the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
On July 29, he scored his first goal for the senior team against Mexico in the Gold Cup semi-final. His play in the tournament was highly praised. He won the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup Best Young Player Award.
In November 2022, Tajon was chosen for Canada's team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. In Canada's second game against Croatia, he sent in a cross that led to Canada's first-ever goal at a men's World Cup. Alphonso Davies headed the ball into the net.
In June 2023, Tajon was part of the team for the 2023 CONCACAF Nations League Finals. In June 2024, he was named to the Canadian squad for the 2024 Copa América. After Canada reached the knockout stage, Tajon broke his tibia during training. He had surgery to fix the injury.
