The New Adventures of Superman was an animated TV show about Superman. It was made by Filmation and shown on CBS from September 10, 1966, to September 5, 1970. Each episode was about six minutes long. These short adventures were part of bigger shows that also featured The Adventures of Superboy and other DC Comics superheroes.

About the Show
This cartoon series brought the famous hero Superman to life for a new generation. It featured many classic characters and villains from the Superman comics. The show was known for its simple animation style and exciting stories.
Voice Actors
The voices for the characters were done by talented actors. Bud Collyer voiced Superman and Clark Kent. Joan Alexander was the voice of Lois Lane for most of the series. Later, Julie Bennett took over the role for some episodes. Jackson Beck was the narrator and also voiced Perry White. Jack Grimes played Jimmy Olsen.
How the Show Was Packaged
The Superman cartoons were shown as part of different programs over the years. This meant you would see Superman's adventures mixed with other superhero stories.
Season 1: The New Adventures of Superman (1966–67)
The show first aired on September 10, 1966. It was a 30-minute program called The New Adventures of Superman. Each episode had two Superman stories and one The Adventures of Superboy short in between. In this first season, 36 Superman cartoon segments were made.
Season 2: The Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure (1967–68)
Starting September 9, 1967, the show became part of a longer, 60-minute program. This new show was called The Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure. It included new Superman cartoons, plus adventures with Aquaman and his friend Aqualad. It also featured other heroes like Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman, Atom, the Justice League of America, and the Teen Titans. Sixteen new Superman segments were produced during this season.
Season 3: The Batman/Superman Hour (1968–69)
On September 14, 1968, the show changed again to The Batman/Superman Hour. This program featured new Superman stories, often split into two parts. It also included new Superboy shorts and adventures of Batman, Robin, and Batgirl. Sixteen more Superman segments were made for this season.
Season 4 (1969–70)
The New Adventures of Superman returned for its final run on CBS on September 13, 1969. The format was the same as the first season: a 30-minute show with two Superman segments and one Superboy segment. All the episodes shown in this season were reruns from previous years.
