Trevor Wesley Pryce II, born on August 3, 1975, is an American writer. He is also a former professional football player. He played as a defensive end for 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL).
Pryce played college football for the University of Michigan before moving to Clemson University. The Denver Broncos chose him in the first round of the 1997 NFL draft. After his football career, he started writing. He created the book series called Kulipari: An Army of Frogs.

Early Life and High School Sports
Trevor Pryce was born in Brooklyn, New York. He went to Lake Howell High School in Winter Park, Florida. There, he was a great athlete in both football and track. He was especially good at hurdling in track.
College Football Career
Pryce played as a defensive end for Clemson University during the 1996 season. Before that, he had played for the University of Michigan. He decided to leave college early to join the NFL Draft. This meant he gave up his final year of college football.
Professional Football Journey
Trevor Pryce had a long and successful career in the NFL. He played for three different teams during his 14 seasons.
Playing for the Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos picked Pryce as the 28th player overall in the first round of the 1997 NFL draft. In his first year, he played in eight games. He made 24 tackles and had two sacks. His first NFL game was on November 2 against the Seattle Seahawks.
In his second year, 1998, he started 15 games. He made 43 tackles and had 8.5 sacks, which was his best at that time. Pryce was part of the Broncos teams that won two Super Bowl championships in a row: Super Bowl XXXII and Super Bowl XXXIII.
In 1999, he started 15 games and had a career-high 13 sacks. He also went to his first Pro Bowl. The next year, 2000, he started all 16 games. He finished with 46 tackles and 12 sacks, earning his second Pro Bowl trip.
Pryce continued to play well. In 2001, he made his third straight Pro Bowl. In 2002, he was voted to the Pro Bowl for the fourth year in a row. He played in his 100th career game in 2003. The 2004 season was tough for him because of a back injury. He only played in two games that year. In his last year with the Broncos, 2005, he started all 16 games.
In 2009, even though he no longer played for them, Pryce was named to the Broncos' 50th Anniversary Team. He thanked the fans in a newspaper ad for this honor.

Time with the Baltimore Ravens
On March 14, 2006, Pryce joined the Baltimore Ravens. In his first season with the Ravens, he started all 16 games. He had 47 tackles and 13 sacks, matching his career high. His strong play helped the Ravens' defense be the best in the league in 2006. They also set a team record with 60 sacks that season.
In 2007, he missed most of the season due to an injury. He returned in 2008 and 2009, contributing to the team's defense. On September 29, 2010, the Ravens released Pryce.
Joining the New York Jets
The very next day, on September 30, 2010, Pryce was signed by the New York Jets. He played 10 games for them that season.
Retiring from Football
After the 2010 AFC Championship Game, Trevor Pryce decided he was done playing football. He officially retired in 2011.
Life After Football: A Writer's Journey
In 2013, Trevor Pryce started a new career as a writer. He published the first book in his young adult series, Kulipari: An Army of Frogs. He wrote it with Joel Naftali, and Sanford Greene did the illustrations.
In 2016, his book series was turned into an animated show. Kulipari: An Army of Frogs became an original series on Netflix. In June 2016, it was announced that Pryce was writing a new comic book. This comic would continue the story right after the novels ended. He worked with Joshua Starnes and illustrator Sonia Liao on this project.
Pryce also started and runs The Outlook Company. This is a multimedia and live-action animation studio located in East Baltimore.
Family Life
Trevor Pryce has a sister named Nandi Pryce. She is a former soccer player. She played for the United States women's national team.
