Tuscumbia was officially started in 1837. It's thought that the village got its name from another town called Tuscumbia, Alabama. A post office has been open in Tuscumbia since it was founded in 1837, helping people send and receive mail for a very long time!

Tuscumbia is found in the middle of Miller County. It sits on the north bank of the Osage River. The village is close to where two main roads, Missouri Route 17 and Route 52, meet.
How to Get Around Tuscumbia
Route 17 goes northeast about 10 miles to Eugene. It also goes southeast about 15 miles to Iberia. Route 52 heads northwest about 12 miles to Eldon. It also goes east about 14 miles to St. Elizabeth.
