Marianne "Twink" Caplan (born 1947) is an American actress, comedian, and producer. She is famous for her roles in popular movies like Clueless (1995) and the Look Who's Talking film series. As a producer, she helped create the Clueless movie (1996) and its TV show version.

Early Life and Beginnings
Marianne Caplan was born in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. She was the younger of two daughters. Her parents were Leon Caplan and Theodora "Toby" Schacter.
Twink started dancing when she was just 3 years old. She made her first acting appearance two years later at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. After graduating from Mt. Lebanon High School, Caplan began working at a radio station called WEEP when she was 22. Three years later, she became the station's first female on-air personality with her show Pittsburgh Now.
Acting and Producing Career
Twink Caplan is well-known for playing Miss Geist in the 1995 hit movie Clueless. This film starred Alicia Silverstone. Caplan later became an executive producer for the Clueless TV series on ABC. She also played Miss Geist again in the show.
Look Who's Talking Series
In the 1989 movie Look Who's Talking, Caplan played the fun best friend of Kirstie Alley's character. She returned as Rona in the next movie, Look Who's Talking Too (1990). In this film, Elias Koteas played her love interest. Twink Caplan and Elias Koteas decided not to appear in the third movie, Look Who's Talking Now (1993).
Other Film and TV Projects
In 2000, Caplan produced the movie Loser at Sony Pictures Entertainment. This movie starred Jason Biggs and Mena Suvari. Twink Caplan also acted in the film, playing Mena Suvari's character's best friend, Gena.
In 2007, she produced a romantic comedy called I Could Never Be Your Woman. She also appeared in this movie as Sissy, who was Michelle Pfeiffer's costume designer. This movie was special because it was the first time Caplan and Pfeiffer had worked together in 20 years. They had been best friends in the 1980 movie Falling in Love Again.
Caplan played the Home Economics teacher in the TV series Fast Times. This show featured actors like Courtney Thorne-Smith, Patrick Dempsey, and Wallace Langham. In The New Homemakers Guide (1988), she acted alongside Ronald Reagan Jr.. She also worked with Bonnie Hunt as a pair of curious neighbors living next to Demi Moore and Judge Reinhold.
In 2012, Twink Caplan appeared as Katie in Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie. This movie included actors such as Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim, John C. Reilly, Will Ferrell, and Zach Galifianakis.
She played a dance teacher in the TV series Community in 2010. She also appeared in an episode of Quantum Leap in 1989.
Caplan played B. Lawney, a waitress, with Richard Gere in the 2007 movie The Flock. She also played Mary Benett, a tough bus driver, in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. In another role, she was a former movie star hoping for a comeback in Secrets of a Hollywood Nurse. She also appeared as Harry Dean Stanton's wife in 9 Full Moons (2013).
