Where is Vadnais Heights Located?
Vadnais Heights covers about 8.24 square miles (21.3 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 6.98 square miles (18.1 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 1.26 square miles (3.3 square kilometers), is water.
The city shares its borders with several other cities. These include Shoreview, Little Canada, White Bear Lake, Maplewood, North Oaks, and Gem Lake.

Parks and Fun Activities
Vadnais Heights has many green spaces for everyone to enjoy. There are over 100 acres (0.40 square kilometers) of parkland spread across 14 different parks.
These parks offer lots of fun things to do. You can find play equipment, walking trails, picnic areas, and sports fields for soccer, softball, and baseball. In winter, there are rinks for hockey and pleasure skating. There are also courts for basketball and tennis, plus restrooms.
Vadnais Lake: A Special Place
Vadnais Lake is surrounded by protected land with miles of walking trails. It's a very important lake because it provides drinking water for the Ramsey County area. To keep the water clean, boating and swimming are not allowed in the lake. Fishing is only permitted in certain spots on the southwest side. The lake is also a special habitat for ducks, supported by Ducks Unlimited.
Schools in Vadnais Heights
Most students in Vadnais Heights attend schools in the White Bear Lake Area Public Schools district (ISD 624). However, students in the northwestern part of the city go to schools in the Mounds View Public Schools district (ISD 621).
Vadnais Heights Elementary School, part of the White Bear Lake School District, is located at Centerville Road and County Road E. Its mascot is a wolf! There is also an independent charter school called the Academy for Sciences and Agriculture High School, which is located near Vadnais Lake.
