Vuadens is a town in Switzerland. It is located in the Fribourg canton, within the Gruyère district. It's a small but interesting place with a long history.

History of Vuadens
Vuadens has a long history! It was first mentioned way back in 516. Back then, it was called curtis Wadingum. Later, in 929, its name changed slightly to Vuadingis.
Geography and Land Use
Vuadens covers an area of about 10.4 square kilometers (4 square miles). A big part of this land, about 66%, is used for farming. This includes fields for crops and pastures for animals.
About 24% of the land is covered by forests. The rest, around 10%, has buildings and roads. A tiny bit, less than 1%, is made up of rivers or lakes. This shows that Vuadens is a mix of nature and settled areas.
