The Coastal Credit Union Music Park is a large outdoor concert venue in Raleigh, North Carolina. It's a special type of outdoor theater called an amphitheater. This park is famous for hosting many big music shows. It was once known as the Walnut Creek Amphitheatre and also the Alltel Pavilion.
This concert park is part of a huge area, about 77 acres (31 hectares) in size. It is located near Walnut Creek in southeast Raleigh. You can find it close to major highways like I-40 and I-440.
The City of Raleigh helped build the park, with some private help too. It cost $13.5 million to build. The park first opened its doors on July 4, 1991. The very first band to play there was the Connells.
The park can hold a lot of people, about 20,601 in total. Around 6,847 seats are covered, which is great for rainy days. Another 13,653 people can sit on the open grassy area, often called the lawn. Live Nation Entertainment, a company that organizes concerts, manages the park for the City of Raleigh.
