Where is Woodford?
Woodford is found in the southern part of Bennington County. It sits right next to the town of Bennington.
Mountains and Rivers
Woodford is special because it's on the very top, or "crest," of the Green Mountains. This means that rain and snow falling on the western side of town flow into the Walloomsac River. This river then travels west towards the Hudson River.
On the other hand, water falling on the eastern side of Woodford flows into the Deerfield River. The Deerfield River is a smaller river that eventually joins the Connecticut River.
