Yosemite Lodge at the Falls is a popular place to stay in Yosemite National Park. People often call it "The Lodge" for short. It's found in the western part of Yosemite Village, in California. The Lodge is very close to the amazing Yosemite Falls.
The Lodge has 245 rooms for visitors. These rooms are spread out in 15 different buildings. Each building has between nine and thirty-one rooms. The Cedar Building is special because it has bigger "family rooms." All the buildings are named after different kinds of flowers or trees.
The Lodge is one of two places in Yosemite Valley that offers hotel rooms. It is usually more affordable than the other option, which is the Ahwahnee Hotel. Both places are managed by companies that work with the National Park Service. The National Park Service looks after the park. Since March 2016, a company called Aramark has been running The Lodge.
In January 1997, a very big flood happened. The Merced River overflowed and damaged many parts of The Lodge. More than half of its rooms were lost or badly hurt.

History of Yosemite Lodge
The Lodge was built a long time ago, in the 1930s. This was during a tough time called the Great Depression. It was part of a project called the Works Progress Administration. This project helped people find jobs during that time.
At first, people who worked for the National Park Service ran The Lodge. Later, private companies took over the management. In 1992, a company called Delaware North started managing The Lodge.
The Great Flood of 1997
In January 1997, a huge flood hit the area. The nearby Merced River rose very high. This flood badly damaged or destroyed many rooms and cabins at The Lodge. About 189 cabins and 108 hotel rooms were affected. The Lodge lost more than half of its total rooms because of this flood.
Changes in Management and Name
In 2016, Aramark took over from Delaware North as the company running The Lodge. Later that year, there was a disagreement about names. The National Park Service changed the name of Yosemite Lodge at the Falls to Yosemite Valley Lodge. They also changed names for other places in the park.
But in 2019, the disagreement was settled. The National Park Service changed the name back to its original, historical name: Yosemite Lodge at the Falls.
