Zane Lowe, born Alexander Zane Reed Lowe in 1973, is a famous DJ, music producer, and TV presenter from New Zealand. He started his career making music and DJing. In 1997, he moved to the United Kingdom. He became well-known by hosting shows on radio stations like XFM and TV channels like MTV Two. He also became a popular DJ, playing music before bands performed. Later, he got a big job on BBC Radio 1 from 2003 to 2015. In 2015, Apple hired him to help create their new global music station, Apple Music 1.

Zane Lowe's Amazing Career
Early Life and Music
Zane Lowe was born in Auckland, New Zealand. He went to Auckland Grammar School. As a young person, he worked as a presenter on a local music TV station called Max TV. Zane was part of a hip-hop group in the early 1990s called Urban Disturbance. He was also in a group called Breaks Co-Op with Andy Lovegrove and Hamish Clark. Lowe and Clark formed Breaks Co-Op in Auckland. They released an electronic music album called Roofers in 1997. After that, they both left New Zealand to travel and explore other interests. They both ended up building their careers in the UK.
Becoming a DJ
Zane Lowe moved to the UK in 1997. He first worked at a music store called Record and Tape Exchange. Soon after, he got a chance to host a show on XFM radio. He then became the host of XFM's Music Response show. In 2003, he joined the very popular BBC Radio 1.
As a DJ, Zane has played music at many big festivals. These include Coachella and Glastonbury. He has also toured with famous artists like Skrillex and The Prodigy. He even opened shows for huge bands like Muse and Foo Fighters at their concerts at Wembley Stadium. Zane Lowe is also the Musical Director for the Ibiza and Mallorca Rocks events.
On TV with MTV
Before his big radio career, Zane Lowe started on MTV UK. He then moved to MTV2 Europe, which is now called MTV Rocks. He hosted shows like MTV News and Brand:New. From 2002 to 2015, he presented Gonzo. This was a very important music show for the channel.
Radio Star at BBC Radio 1
Zane Lowe's evening show on BBC Radio 1 was very popular. It was on air from 2003 to 2015. His show had special parts, like "Zane Lowe Meets" interviews. In these, he talked with many famous musicians.

Doctors then helped Ryan with his injuries. This event became a famous story in music history.
