In 1979, he finished his law studies at the University of Sarajevo. Before starting his political career, Džaferović worked in legal offices and for the police in Zavidovići and Zenica. He did this until 1996.

Starting His Political Journey

In 1996, Džaferović was elected to the local council in Zenica-Doboj Canton. In the same year, he became a representative in the Federal House of Peoples. A few years later, in 2000, he joined the national House of Peoples.

When the COVID-19 pandemic in Bosnia and Herzegovina began in March 2020, the Presidency took action. They announced that the Armed Forces would set up quarantine tents at the country's borders. These tents were for Bosnian citizens returning home. Everyone arriving had to self-quarantine for 14 days.

Other countries also helped Bosnia and Herzegovina. On March 2, 2021, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić visited Sarajevo. He met with Džaferović and other Presidency members.
