Bex is a charming town, also known as a municipality, located in the beautiful Vaud region of Switzerland. It is found in the district of Aigle. Bex covers an area of about 96.60 square kilometers. It sits at an altitude of 424 meters above sea level. Around 5,700 people call Bex their home. This lovely town is just a few miles south of its nearby sister town, Aigle.
Discovering Bex's Location
Bex is located on the east side of the Rhône river. It sits in a large, wide valley. This valley is surrounded by impressive mountains. To the east, you can see the Bernese Alps. To the west, the Chablais Alps stand tall.
Mountain Adventures Near Bex
Many famous Swiss and French ski resorts are very close to Bex. This makes it a great spot for winter sports. The town is also on Swiss National Route 9. Bex is connected to the popular area of Les Diablerets by a mountain pass. This pass is called Col de la Croix.
