Bryn Christopher's Music Journey

Starting Out in Music

Bryn Christopher began his music career by supporting famous artists on their tours. In late 2007, he opened for Amy Winehouse, even though he was not widely known yet. He also supported the American soul artist Rahsaan Patterson at a concert in London.

Bryn was signed by a big agency in the U.S. called William Morris Agency. He also helped write the hit song "Don't Call This Love" for Leon Jackson, working with British producer Chris Braide. In 2008, Bryn Christopher was the opening act for Mary J. Blige on her 'Growing Pains' tour in Europe.

The Song "The Quest"

Bryn Christopher's first single, "The Quest," was released on June 8, 2008, by Polydor Records. The song was inspired by his brother's experiences as a soldier.

"The Quest" became well-known in the U.S. after it was played in the final scene of Grey's Anatomy season 4. A music video was even made for the show to promote its fifth season. This video showed Bryn singing in London and included scenes from the TV series. The song was also featured in an episode of the BBC school drama Waterloo Road.

A Russian version of the song, covered by Grigory Leps, also became very popular.

Bryn Christopher worked with writer/producer Jarrad Rogers and the production team Midi Mafia to create his first album, My World. This album was released in September 2008. Midi Mafia was able to use special music samples from the Stax Records Catalogue for the first time on Bryn's album.

His second song, "Smilin," came out on September 2, 2008, and reached number 31 on the music charts. His third song, "Fearless," was released on January 18, 2009, but did not make it onto the charts. His last single from this period was "Taken Me Over," released digitally on August 4, 2009. It also did not chart.

After this, Bryn Christopher left Polydor Records and signed with Geffen Records UK.

Performing at Festivals

Bryn Christopher performed regularly at The Boogaloo in North London during April 2007. He also played at London's Soho Revue Bar.

In 2008, he performed at major music festivals like Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, on the same day as Jay-Z. He also played at Glastonbury, T in the Park, Oxegen, and V Festival.

More recently, from 2015 to 2017, Bryn Christopher appeared at Capital Summertime and Jingle Bell Ball events. He was the singer for Sigala's song "Sweet Lovin'" at these events. He also performed at V Festival and many other places during this time.

Music from 2010 to Today

Bryn Christopher has continued to write and perform music. In 2012, he helped write the Sub Focus song "Out the Blue." He also co-wrote and sang on "Superstar" by Knife Party for their album Abandon Ship in 2014.

In 2015, he was featured on and co-wrote "City Lights" by Culture Shock. He also worked with Sigala on the song "Sweet Lovin'". This song is a tropical house track that has been viewed over 245 million times on YouTube and reached number three on the UK Singles Chart.

Bryn also wrote "Came Here for Love" with White N3rd and Klingande for Sigala and Ella Eyre. This song reached number 6 on the UK Singles Chart and was the official theme for London's gay pride event.

I See Monstas Music Group

In 2012, Bryn Christopher joined producers Rocky and Rufio to form an electronic music group. He used the name Skaar for this group. The group was first called MONSTA, but later changed its name to I See Monstas in 2013. Their first song, "Holdin' On," reached number 48 on the UK charts.
