Starting Out in Music
In late 2007, Bryn Christopher supported Amy Winehouse on her tour. He also opened for U.S. soul artist Rahsaan Patterson in London. He was signed by the U.S. agency William Morris Agency. Bryn also helped write the song "Don't Call This Love" for Leon Jackson. He worked on this song with British producer Chris Braide. In 2008, Christopher was the opening act for Mary J. Blige on her European tour called 'Growing Pains'.
"The Quest": A Special Song
Bryn Christopher's first song, "The Quest", came out on 8 June 2008. It was released by Polydor Records. This song was inspired by his brother's experiences as a soldier. His brother was stationed in Basra and later injured in Afghanistan.
"The Quest" was played in the final scene of Grey's Anatomy season 4. This helped the song become very well known in the US. A music video for the song was made to promote the show's fifth season. It showed Christopher singing in London and scenes from the TV show. The song was also used in an episode of the BBC drama Waterloo Road. A Russian version of the song, sung by Grigory Leps, also became popular.
Bryn worked with writer/producer Jarrad Rogers and the team Midi Mafia to create his first album, My World. It was released in September 2008. Midi Mafia was able to use music samples from the Stax Records Catalogue. Some of these samples were used for the first time ever on Bryn's album.
His second song, "Smilin", was released on 2 September 2008. It reached number 31 on the music charts. His third song, "Fearless", came out on 18 January 2009 but did not make it onto the charts. His last song from this period was "Taken Me Over", released digitally on 4 August 2009. It also did not chart. After this, Bryn Christopher left Polydor and signed with Geffen Records UK.

Bryn Christopher performed regularly at The Boogaloo in North London in April 2007. He also played at London's Soho Revue Bar.
