The Cairo spiny mouse (Acomys cahirinus) is a species of mouse that lives in Africa, the Middle East and Europe.

It eats seeds, fruits and invertebrate animals. The mouse grows to 15 centimetres (5.9 in) long and weighs up to 0.1 kilograms (0.22 lb). It lives for about four years. The gestation period is about 38 days. The speed of the spiny mouse is up to 10 kilometres per hour (6.2 mph).
