On January 28, 2018, Callum played his first game for Chelsea's main team in an FA Cup match against Newcastle United. He came on as a substitute in the 81st minute, helping Chelsea win 3–0. A few days later, on January 31, he made his Premier League debut.

After playing very well in the pre-season games in 2018, Chelsea's new manager, Maurizio Sarri, decided Callum would stay with the main team. He was given the number 20 jersey. On August 5, 2018, Callum started his first game for Chelsea in the FA Community Shield against Manchester City.
On November 29, he scored his first goal for the senior team in a Europa League game against PAOK, which Chelsea won 4–0.
In January 2019, other big clubs, like Bayern Munich, wanted to sign Callum. Chelsea's assistant manager and Bayern's director both talked about the interest. Callum even asked to leave Chelsea, but he still played and scored in an FA Cup game against Sheffield Wednesday. Two days later, his manager confirmed he would stay at the club.
In March 2019, Chelsea complained about bad behavior towards Callum during a match against Dynamo Kyiv. On April 3, he made his first Premier League start and helped set up a goal in a 3–0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion. He became the youngest player to assist a goal in his first Premier League start for Chelsea. Sadly, on April 22, 2019, Callum got a serious injury to his Achilles tendon, which meant he couldn't play for the rest of the season.
2019–20 Season: New Contract

Bayern Munich tried to sign Callum again in the summer of 2019, but Chelsea said no to their offers.
In July 2019, Frank Lampard became Chelsea's new coach. He said he believed Callum could become a "world-class player" at Chelsea. After a lot of talk about his future, Callum signed a new five-year contract with Chelsea on September 20, 2019. He later said he made the right choice to stay after talking with Lampard.

In March 2019, he was called up to the England under-21 team for the first time. A few days later, because some senior players were injured, he was called up to the main England squad for Euro 2020 qualifiers. Callum said he was "shocked" and that it was "a dream come true." He made his debut on March 22, coming on as a substitute in a 5–0 win against the Czech Republic. He became the youngest player to make his debut for England in a competitive match, breaking a record that had stood since 1955!
Three days later, he started his first competitive game for England in a 5–1 win against Montenegro. He helped set up two goals for his Chelsea teammate Ross Barkley. After the game, manager Gareth Southgate praised him for how well he played.
