Celebi (セレビィ, Serebī, sell·ah·bee) is a special Pokémon from the Pokémon games and shows. It's known as a Mythical Pokémon. Celebi was first seen in the video games Pokémon Gold and Silver.

This amazing Pokémon was created by Ken Sugimori. You can find Celebi in many different Pokémon things. These include video games, toys, and animated movies. Celebi often plays a big part in the Pokémon movies. It appeared in Pokémon 4Ever and Zoroark: Master of Illusions. A special shiny Celebi also appeared in Secrets of the Jungle. In the Pokémon Adventures comic books, a character named Pryce wants Celebi. He hopes to use Celebi's powers to travel through time.

What Celebi Looks Like and Does

Celebi was designed by Ken Sugimori. It looks like a small, green onion. It has round feet with no toes. Celebi also has hands with three fingers. On its back, it has clear, see-through wings.

Celebi's head is round at the bottom. It comes to a point at the back, just like an onion. It has big, light blue eyes. These eyes have thick black rings around them. Celebi also has two green antennae with blue tips.

Celebi is a special type of Pokémon. It is both a Psychic and a Grass type. Its species category is the "Time Travel" Pokémon. This means it can travel through time! Celebi is also known as the guardian of the forest. People sometimes even worship it like a god.

Celebi travels through time to visit peaceful, old forests. When it visits, it leaves behind healthy grass and trees. Sometimes, it even leaves an egg from the future. If Celebi continues to exist, it means the future will be good.

Where Celebi Appears

In the Video Games

In the Pokémon video games, Celebi is a very rare Pokémon. You can usually only get it during special events. These events are often held for a short time.

In the Japanese version of Pokémon Crystal, players could get Celebi. They used a special item called a GS Ball. This ball was given out through the Pokémon Mobile System GB. In newer versions of Crystal, you can get the GS Ball after beating the game.

Celebi was also given out with the Japanese Pokémon Colosseum bonus disc. This disc came with game pre-orders. In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Celebi can make a special event happen. This event lets players travel back in time. They can then battle a character named Giovanni.

Celebi was also given out at movie showings in Japan. This happened for the movie Phantom Ruler: Zoroark. In Pokémon Black and White, Celebi can start another event. This event lets players get the Pokémon Zorua. In North America, Celebi was given out at GameStop stores. This happened from February 21 to March 6, 2011. It was also available during a tour for the Black and White games. In Pokémon X and Y, Celebi could be received as a gift. This was done through the Pokémon Bank service.

Celebi has also appeared in other Pokémon games. These include Pokémon Colosseum and the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. It also appeared in the Pokémon Ranger games. You can find Celebi in PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure and Pokémon Go. It's even in Pokémon Café Mix. Celebi also shows up in fighting games like Super Smash Bros. Melee and Brawl. In Other Media

In the Pokémon anime series, Celebi is often shown as a Pokémon that needs help. It usually needs protection from others. Celebi is a main character in the movie Pokémon 4Ever. In this movie, Celebi is running from a hunter. It crashes into a young boy named Samuel Oak. Samuel protects Celebi. In return, Celebi takes them forty years into the future. There, Samuel teams up with Ash Ketchum. They work together to save Celebi. A member of Team Rocket captures Celebi. He turns it into a Dark Celebi using a special Poké Ball. Near the end of the movie, many Celebi from different times appear. They all come to help out. Celebi also appears in many regular episodes of the anime.

Celebi had another big role in Zoroark: Master of Illusions. A character named Grings Kodai wanted Celebi. He needed it to get back his ability to see the future. He had lost this power after meeting Celebi before. In the anime, Celebi has made many small appearances. One notable appearance was in Pokémon Chronicles. In an episode called Celebi and Joy, Celebi took Ritchie back in time. This helped them stop a Pokémon Center from being destroyed. A shiny Celebi also appeared in the movie Secrets of the Jungle.

He had lost them years before. Pryce tried many times but failed. He would get hurt each time Celebi appeared at the Ilex shrine. Two characters, Green and Silver, used this chance. They stole his items and escaped.

Later, in the RS Saga, it was shown that Ruby has a Celebi. Ruby explained that he didn't know much about it. So, he rarely used Celebi. Celebi was used to get the Red and Blue Orbs. These were taken from Maxie and Archie. This stopped them from controlling the Groudon and Kyogre Pokémon again. Then, Celebi helped revive Norman, Steven, and Courtney.
