Centerville is located in Minnesota. The city covers a total area of about 2.41 square miles (6.24 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 2.13 square miles (5.52 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.28 square miles (0.72 square kilometers), is water.
A main road in Centerville is Main Street, also known as County Road 14. Interstate 35E is also very close by. Centerville is completely surrounded by the city of Lino Lakes.
Centerville's History
Centerville was first settled in 1857. It got its name because of its central location. It was roughly in the middle of three important places: Saint Paul, the Mississippi River at Anoka, and the Saint Croix River at Stillwater.
