Chézard-Saint-Martin was a small town in Switzerland. It used to be its own local government area, called a municipality. This town was part of the Val-de-Ruz district. It was also located in the canton of Neuchâtel. Cantons are like states or regions in Switzerland.
On January 1, 2013, Chézard-Saint-Martin changed. It joined with many other nearby towns. These towns included Boudevilliers, Cernier, Coffrane, Dombresson, Engollon, Fenin-Vilars-Saules, Fontainemelon, Fontaines, Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane, Les Hauts-Geneveys, Montmollin, Le Pâquier, Savagnier and Villiers. Together, they all became part of a new, bigger municipality. This new municipality is called Val-de-Ruz.
