Engollon was once a small town, also known as a municipality, located in the Val-de-Ruz district. This area is part of the canton of Neuchâtel in Switzerland.
A New Beginning for Engollon
On January 1, 2013, Engollon joined forces with many other nearby towns. These included Boudevilliers, Cernier, Chézard-Saint-Martin, Coffrane, Dombresson, Fenin-Vilars-Saules, Fontainemelon, Fontaines, Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane, Les Hauts-Geneveys, Montmollin, Le Pâquier, Savagnier, and Villiers.
All these towns came together to form one bigger, new municipality called Val-de-Ruz. This means Engollon is no longer a separate municipality but is now part of this larger community.
