Chavannes-des-Bois is a small town, also called a municipality, in the Nyon area of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. It's a quiet place with a mix of farmland and forests.

History of Chavannes-des-Bois
Chavannes-des-Bois was first written about in the year 1316. Back then, it was known as Les Chavannes de Sovernyer. Later, in 1355, its name changed slightly to Cabane Nemorum. These old names give us a peek into its past.
