Chill Out, Scooby-Doo! is an animated comedy mystery film from 2007. It's the eleventh movie in the Scooby-Doo series that went straight to DVD. Warner Bros. Animation made this film. It was dedicated to Iwao Takamoto, who was an important artist for Scooby-Doo. He passed away while the movie was being made.

The Mystery Begins

Searching for the Snowman

The story starts in the Himalayas. Professor Jeffries is climbing a mountain with his guide, Pemba. Jeffries is looking for the Abominable Snowman. Pemba warns him not to go into the Snowman's territory. But Jeffries is very determined. He cuts their rope and keeps going alone. Soon after, Pemba sees a huge creature nearby.

Wrong Plane, Right Adventure

Meanwhile, Fred, Daphne, and Velma are waiting in Paris. They wonder where Scooby-Doo and Shaggy are. Scooby and Shaggy are on a small plane. They think it's going to Paris, but it's really headed for the Himalayas! A French hunter named Alphonse LaFleur is on the plane. He wants to find and catch the Snowman. He plans to use Shaggy and Scooby as bait.

LaFleur locks Shaggy and Scooby up with his gear. Then he throws them off the plane! Shaggy realizes they are not going to Paris. He quickly calls Fred before his phone dies. Fred uses his phone's GPS to track them. Then, he, Daphne, and Velma head to the Himalayas to find their friends.

High Mountain Encounters

A Village in Fear

Shaggy and Scooby land near a small mountain village. Professor Jeffries and Pemba are there. Jeffries tells Pemba he almost died after being left alone. Many villagers are leaving because they are scared of the creature.

Shaggy and Scooby go to the High Lama for a phone. The High Lama is a bit strange. He tells them there's a phone at the nearby weather station. He lets them go, but seems worried. Inside, they see a statue of the Snowman holding a large crystal. The High Lama says it protects the villagers from the Snowman's powers.

They also meet Pemba's sister, Minga. She decided to stay in the village. Minga loves listening to the radio. She has a crush on the DJ from the station. Pemba tells her to leave the village. He, Shaggy, Scooby, and Jeffries decide to go to the weather station. LaFleur also arrives and joins them.

Stormy Weather and Strange Discoveries

As they travel, Minga catches up. She says she heard on the radio that a big storm is coming. Shaggy wonders how there's radio signal so high up. Pemba explains it's just the weather station man pretending to be a DJ. Pemba thinks Minga is just trying to meet the weatherman. Minga denies it and says the storm is real. Everyone sees a dark cloud and sets up camp.

During the night, Jeffries leaves his tent. He takes his sled, which is full of TNT and other explosives. Later, the Snowman attacks Shaggy and Scooby. LaFleur tries to catch the Snowman, but his traps backfire on him. Scooby and Shaggy escape the Snowman but get lost.

Luckily, a snowplow approaches them. It's Del Chillman, whom the gang met before. Del takes them to the weather station, where he works. Chillman tells them he took the job to find out if the Snowman legend is true. He also admits he's the DJ/weatherman. He uses the radio for weather reports and plays songs to pass the time.

The Chase Continues

Clues in the Snow

Meanwhile, Fred, Daphne, and Velma reach the village. It's empty. They follow Shaggy's tracks to the campsite. They also see the Snowman's footprints. Velma notices the footprints are not very deep in the snow. They find Pemba, who was caught in one of LaFleur's traps. Minga and Jeffries are still missing. The gang splits up to search.

At the weather station, Del goes to look for the others. After he leaves, the Snowman appears and attacks Shaggy and Scooby again. LaFleur shows up and tries to catch the creature. He tries to save Shaggy and Scooby, but falls off a cliff and disappears. Scooby and Shaggy escape and find their way to the lost city of Shangri-La. But the Snowman is still chasing them.

The Truth Revealed

Del meets up with the rest of the gang. They find the weather station destroyed. Some helium tanks are missing. As Scooby and Shaggy explore Shangri-La, the Abominable Snowman appears again. Daphne and Pemba find a large cave. They think it's where the Snowman lives. They also find an empty helium case.

Shaggy and Scooby lose the Snowman again. Everyone meets up in an old mine. They see Jeffries mining for crystals, just like the one on the Yeti statue. They catch him and think he is the Snowman, but he says no. Then the Snowman appears and chases everyone. Jeffries gets free and follows them.

The Snowman chases Shaggy, Scooby, and Jeffries down the mountain. Jeffries tries to get the crystals from the mine cart that Scooby and Shaggy are riding in. The rest of the gang sets a trap for the Snowman. But Shaggy, Scooby, and Jeffries get caught in it instead. The High Lama comes out to see what happened.

Then, an avalanche starts! It almost crushes Velma and Del. But the Snowman saves them just in time. The Snowman is revealed to be Minga! She was behind the whole mystery. She used the helium to fly, which made her footprints not very deep. Minga admits she did it so Del wouldn't stop his radio show. She was also admitting her feelings for him. Del is touched by what Minga says and finds it sweet.

Jeffries is arrested because he was taking the crystals for himself. The gang wonders if a real Snowman exists. Then, LaFleur appears! He tells them that something saved him from his fall and brought him to the village. It was probably the real Snowman!

Vacation Time! (Almost)

The gang, along with Del and Minga (who are now a couple), return to Paris for their vacation. But Fred gets on the wrong plane and ends up in the Amazon! The others go to find Fred. Daphne jokes, "I'd like to have a vacation that actually stays a vacation."
