About Chris Willis

Chris Willis started his music journey as a gospel singer. In 1993, he sang on the album Handel's Messiah – A Soulful Celebration. He performed a modern version of "Every Valley Shall Be Exalted". After college, he toured with a singing group. They performed many shows in churches for two years.

In the mid-1990s, he sang backup for Twila Paris. In 1996, he released his first album, Chris Willis. He wrote or co-wrote most of the songs on it. This album earned him a nomination for Best R&B Album. That same year, he opened shows for Mark Lowry. He also sang in a national musical tour called Emmanuel. The album from this tour won a GMA Dove Award in 1998.

Working with David Guetta

In 2000, Chris Willis was working with a French boy band. While in Paris, a band member introduced him to house music producer David Guetta. Guetta invited Willis to his studio. The very next day, they wrote the song "Just a Little More Love".

Chris Willis helped write and sang most of the songs on Guetta's first album. This album was also called Just a Little More Love. It included the very popular title track.
