Clinch County is a county located in the southeastern part of Georgia. It was created on February 14, 1850. The county is named after Duncan Lamont Clinch. Its main town, or county seat, is Homerville. In 2020, about 6,749 people lived there.

Clinch County is in Southeast Georgia. It is known for its natural beauty. A big part of the famous Okefenokee Swamp is located here.
Land and Water
The U.S. Census Bureau says Clinch County covers about 824 square miles. Most of this area, about 800 square miles, is land. The rest, about 24 square miles, is water. This makes it one of the largest counties in Georgia by total area.
A large part of the county, especially in the east and southeast, is within the Okefenokee Swamp. This swamp is a protected area where nature is preserved. Most of Clinch County is also part of the Suwannee River area.
