Corey Jonas Webster (born March 2, 1982) is a former American football player. He was a cornerback for the New York Giants in the National Football League (NFL). Corey played college football for the LSU Tigers. The Giants picked him in the second round of the 2005 NFL draft. He helped the team win two Super Bowls, both against the New England Patriots.

Early Life and High School Sports
Corey Webster grew up in Vacherie, Louisiana. He went to St. James High School. Corey was a talented athlete in two sports: football and basketball.
Football Star in High School
In football, he played quarterback for his high school team, the Wildcats. He wore jersey number 1. Corey was so good that he was named an all-state player.
Basketball Skills
He was also an all-state guard on the basketball team, wearing jersey number 11. When he finished high school, colleges wanted him to play wide receiver. But when he went to LSU, his coach, Nick Saban, asked him to play cornerback instead.
College Football Career
Corey Webster started his college career at LSU. In his first year, he caught 7 passes for 74 yards as a wide receiver.
Switching to Cornerback
For the 2002 season, he changed his position to cornerback. This was a great move for him. By the end of his college career, he had 16 interceptions. This was the second-highest number in LSU history.
College Achievements
Corey was named a First-Team All-American twice. He was also chosen for the First-Team All-SEC three times. In 2003, he led the SEC with 25 pass breakups. He had 17 pass breakups in 2002.

Key Moments in 2007
In 2007, Corey started the season slowly. But he improved a lot later in the year. He had a great game against the Buffalo Bills. In that game, he made an interception and scored a touchdown.
During the playoffs, he continued to play well. In a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he intercepted a pass in the end zone. He also recovered a fumble, which helped the Giants score. In the next playoff game, he played excellent defense against Terrell Owens.
Winning the NFC Championship
Corey made a game-winning interception against the Green Bay Packers. This play sent the Giants to Super Bowl XLII. It was also Brett Favre's last pass as a Packer.
Super Bowl XLII Victory
In Super Bowl XLII, Corey played a big part. Even though he slipped on one play, allowing a touchdown, he made up for it. Later, he deflected a pass from Tom Brady to Randy Moss. This play helped the Giants secure their Super Bowl win. After this great season, the Giants gave him a big 5-year contract.
2011 Super Bowl Win
Corey had his best season for interceptions in 2011, with six. He helped the Giants win their second Super Bowl in five years. They beat the Patriots again in Super Bowl XLVI with a score of 21–17. Corey defended one pass and made a tackle in that game.
Later Career and Retirement
In 2012, Corey had a career-high 58 tackles. He played his last NFL game in 2013. On December 27, 2023, Corey Webster signed a special one-day contract. This allowed him to officially retire as a New York Giant.
