Corey Jonas Webster (born March 2, 1982) is a former American football player. He was a cornerback for the New York Giants in the National Football League (NFL). Webster played college football for the LSU Tigers. The Giants chose him in the second round of the 2005 NFL draft. He later helped his team win two Super Bowls, both times against the New England Patriots.

Early Life and High School Sports
Corey Webster grew up in Vacherie, Louisiana. He went to St. James High School. Corey was a fantastic athlete in two sports: football and basketball.
In football, he played quarterback and was named an all-state player. In basketball, he was an all-state guard. When he finished high school, teams wanted him to play wide receiver in college. But at LSU, his coach asked him to play cornerback instead.
College Football Career
Corey started his college career at LSU as a wide receiver. In his first year, he caught 7 passes for 74 yards. Then, in 2002, he switched to playing cornerback.
He became very good at this new position. By the end of his college career, he had 16 interceptions. This was the second-highest in LSU's history. He was also named a First-Team All-American twice. This means he was one of the best college players in the country. He was also chosen for the First-Team All-SEC three times.
Professional Football Career
Corey Webster was drafted by the New York Giants in 2005. He played for them until 2013. He became a key player for the Giants, especially in their biggest games.

2007 Season and Playoff Success
In 2007, Corey started the season slowly. But he improved a lot later in the year. In a game against the Buffalo Bills, he made an interception and scored a touchdown. This showed he was ready for the playoffs.
In the playoffs, he continued to play well. He had another interception against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also recovered a fumble, which helped the Giants score.
