Coulson is a small rural area located in the Scenic Rim Region of Queensland, Australia. It's a quiet place with lots of open land, mostly used for farming. In 2021, about 168 people lived in Coulson.

Coulson is a beautiful area with important roads like Ipswich – Boonah Road and Beaudesert–Boonah Road passing through it. These roads help people travel around the region.

A stream called Teviot Brook flows through Coulson. This stream eventually joins the larger Logan River. You can also find a small mountain called Goans Hill here, which is about 200 meters (656 feet) high. Most of the land in Coulson is used for farming, which means you'll see many fields and paddocks.

A Look Back: Coulson's History

Coulson has an interesting history, especially when it comes to its school. A school first opened here in 1881, known as Teviotville Provisional School. It became a State School in 1886.

Later, in 1903, the school's name changed to Coulson State School. It taught local children for many years before closing its doors in 1993. The old school was located on Ipswich Boonah Road.
