DreamWorks Channel is a pay television network owned and operated by NBCUniversal, a division of Comcast. It first launched in Southeast Asia.
DreamWorks Animation programming, both in new and archive forms, make up the primetime and early day schedules of new sister network Universal Kids, which launched in the United States on 9 September 2017 (a format evolution of an earlier version of the channel named "Sprout"). The rights for DreamWorks Animation's programming in the United States are also handled by Netflix and other networks.
Programming
The content on the channel mainly consists of series produced by DreamWorks Animation SKG and DreamWorks Classics library. However, DWA's films only air in the MENA version.
Programming blocks
- DreamWorks Junior - The DreamWorks Channel programs shows targeted at preschool-age children daily every morning. Programs currently seen in this block include Guess with Jess, Raa Raa the Noisy Lion and 3-2-1 Penguins!. The block is a direct competitor of Nick Jr. and Disney Junior.
