Echternach (Luxembourgish: Iechternach) is a region in eastern Luxembourg. It is known as a canton, which is like a district or administrative area. The main town and capital of this canton is also called Echternach.

Geography of Echternach Canton
The Echternach canton covers an area of about 185.5 km2 (71.6 sq mi). In 2017, around 18,702 people lived here. This means there were about 100.8 people living in each square kilometer.
Where is Echternach Canton Located?
The canton shares its borders with different areas:
- To the north, it borders the German district of Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm. This district is part of the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
- To the east, it borders the Trier-Saarburg district, which is also in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
- To the south, it borders the Grevenmacher canton in Luxembourg.
- To the west, it borders the Diekirch and Mersch cantons, also in Luxembourg.
