Emin Aras oghlu Agalarov (born December 12, 1979), often known simply as Emin, is a famous singer and businessperson from Azerbaijan. He is the son of Aras Agalarov, a very successful business leader. From 2006 to 2015, he was married to Leyla Aliyeva, whose father is the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

Emin sings in English, Azerbaijani, and Russian. In 2018, he received a special award called the "People's Artiste of Azerbaijan" for his musical talents.

Early Life and Education

Emin Agalarov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan. His father, Aras Agalarov, leads a big company called the Crocus Group. Emin's family moved to Moscow, Russia, when he was four years old.

When Emin was 13, his parents sent him to a school in Switzerland. Later, in 1994, he moved to Tenafly, New Jersey in the United States. He finished Tenafly High School in 1997. After high school, he went to Marymount Manhattan College in New York City.

Business Career

After finishing college, Emin returned to Russia. In 2011, he became the vice president of his father's company, Crocus Group. By 2014, he was promoted to executive vice president.

The Crocus Group owns many different businesses. These include shopping and entertainment centers like F1RST, several restaurants, the Crocus City Mall, and fashion stores. They also own the Crocus City Hall, which is a popular place for concerts. In Azerbaijan, they run the Sea Breeze Resort.

Music Career Highlights

Emin started getting interested in music when he was in high school in the United States. After returning to Russia, he continued to write songs.

In 2006, Emin released his first album, Still, which got a lot of attention. He then released a new album almost every year. These included Incredible in 2007, Obsession in 2008 (which featured classic songs by Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley), and Devotion in 2009. He performed concerts in Moscow and Baku to support these albums.

In 2010, Emin moved to London. His album Wonder came out in Russia and other countries in 2010, and in the UK in 2011. A song from his 2012 album After the Thunder, called "Heart Keeps Beating," was played a lot on Russian radio.

Another song from After The Thunder was "Baby Get Higher". In May 2012, Emin performed "Never Enough" during the break at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku. He also opened for Jennifer Lopez's concert in Baku in September 2012.

In May 2014, Emin won an award for being the Best-selling Azerbaijan Artist at the 2014 World Music Awards.

Connection with Donald Trump

In January 2013, Emin and his father visited Las Vegas, Nevada. This was after Donald Trump, who owned the Miss Universe beauty pageant at the time, announced that the next competition would be held at Crocus City Hall in Moscow. Crocus City Hall is owned by Emin's father.

In November 2013, Emin's father hosted Miss Universe 2013 at Crocus City Hall. Emin performed during the event. He also appeared in a music video with Donald Trump and the Miss Universe contestants.

Emin Agalarov and his publicist, Rob Goldstone, later helped arrange a meeting in June 2016. This meeting involved Donald Trump Jr. and others.
