When was the town of Arden formed?
In 1905, a railroad town called Arden was started. This town was for miners working in nearby gypsum mines. The area was part of Lincoln County until 1909. Then, Clark County was created from part of Lincoln County. The oldest building still standing is a water tower built in 1926.

What happened with the plane crash in 1958?
On April 21, 1958, two planes crashed into each other. A United Airlines Flight 736 plane and an Air Force jet collided. This sad event caused 49 people to lose their lives. At the time, the crash site was empty desert. Today, new buildings are very close to that spot. In 1999, a small cross was placed there by a victim's son to remember those who died.
Why was Enterprise created as a town?
Enterprise became an unincorporated town on December 17, 1996. Residents wanted to keep their community's quiet, semi-rural feel. They hoped this would stop nearby Henderson from taking over their land.
Soon after, Clark County leaders voted to add some land to Spring Valley. This land included a community called Rhodes Ranch. Residents were not happy because they had no say in this decision.
What was the agreement with Henderson about land?
In 1999, Clark County and Henderson made an agreement. Henderson wanted to add about 5,000 to 6,000 acres of land. Most of this land was undeveloped. However, 1,400 acres were part of Enterprise. Henderson wanted this land for a highway exit and to maintain a road.
Enterprise residents did not like this plan. They wanted to keep their rural way of life. County leaders told them they couldn't stop Henderson completely. The agreement was the best they could do. It stopped Henderson from taking a heavily populated part of Enterprise. Instead, Henderson took undeveloped areas.
