Forel-sur-Lucens was once a small town in Switzerland. It was located in the Vaud area, specifically in the Broye-Vully region. In 2017, Forel-sur-Lucens joined with several other towns. These towns were Brenles, Chesalles-sur-Moudon, Cremin, and Sarzens. They all became part of the larger town of Lucens. So, Forel-sur-Lucens is no longer a separate municipality.

History of Forel-sur-Lucens
The name Forel-sur-Lucens was first written down around the year 1200. Back then, it was called Forest. This shows that the area has a very long history.
Geography of Forel-sur-Lucens
Forel-sur-Lucens covered an area of about 2.83 square kilometers (1.09 square miles). Most of this land, about 76.3%, was used for farming. This means people grew crops or raised animals there.
About 18.7% of the land was covered by forests. The remaining 5.7% of the land had buildings or roads. This includes homes and ways for people to travel.
The town was located on a high flat area. This plateau was above the Broye river valley. Forel-sur-Lucens actually had two small villages within it. These were called Forel-Dessus and Forel-Dessous.
