Cremin's History
Cremin is quite old! It was first mentioned in official records way back in 1365. At that time, its name was spelled Cremyn.
Where is Cremin?
Cremin is located in a lovely spot in Switzerland. It sits on a high flat area, like a plateau. This plateau is above the left side of the Broye river.
The area is north of Lucens. It also borders the Fribourg region, specifically an area called Surpierre.

Most of the built-up area was for homes and other buildings. The rest was for transportation, like roads. In the forests, most trees were dense. Some smaller areas had orchards or small groups of trees. The farmland was used for growing crops and for pastures where animals could graze.
Cremin used to be part of the Moudon District. But this district was changed on August 31, 2006. After that, Cremin became part of the new Broye-Vully district.
Cremin's Coat of Arms
Every town has a special symbol called a coat of arms. Cremin's coat of arms is quite interesting! It shows a design that is split into two parts: silver on top and green on the bottom.
On top of this background, you can see three golden farm tools crossed over each other. These are a bundle of wheat (called a Garb), a Scythe (a tool for cutting grass), and a Flail (a tool for threshing grain). These symbols likely show the importance of farming to the area.
